NEW LISBON-  Carolyn Sue Mills, 80, passed away Thursday evening September 8, 2022 at Rosebud Village in Richmond, Indiana.  A daughter of the late Arthur Franklin and Viola Ursula (DeVerse) Pippin, Sue was born in Richmond, Indiana on September 6, 1942.  She worked as a cook in area restaurants but her most important job was being a mother.

Survivors include 4 children, Vicky Sue Sweigart, Carol Sexton, Regenna Kay Pippin and Robert Eugene Owens; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings, Lula B. Reid, Fern Fincher, Judith Ann Starkey, Paul and Charles Pippin; several nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Joe "Chop" Mills who passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 1994.  They were married on September 17, 1988; 4 brothers, Keith, James, Buck and Thomas Pippin; 2 sisters, Janet Hunt and Shirley Cox.

Cremation has been entrusted to Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home. Private burial services will be held at New Lisbon Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
