LEWISVILLE - Carol Ann Ward, 60, passed away Monday evening April 3, 2017 at The Waters of New Castle. A daughter of the late John and Mary Janet (Ackerman) Kocher, Carol was born in Richmond, Indiana on December 17, 1956. Carol has lived all of her life in the New Castle community and graduated from Tri High School with the class of 1975. After high school she was employed at the New Castle State Hospital in the children's ward . In1984, she and her husband Jack began operation of K & W Ambulance Service (1984-2000). Following her work with the ambulance service Carol became involved in aiding the physically and mentally disabled. With her help, it was possible for her clients to stay in their homes. She loved her grandchildren and was a canine enthusiast.

Survivors include her husband, Jack D. Ward. They were married on April 23, 1977 in Richmond, Indiana; 1 daughter, Jessica R. (Dennis) Lytle of New Castle; 3 grandchildren, Paityn, Jaxton and Colton.
