BENTONVILLE- Carlie F. Baker, 76, passed away on Friday July 29, 2011 at her home of 48 years. A daughter of the late Virgil and Bertha (Singleton) Freeman, Carlie was born in Estill County, Kentucky on December 10, 1934. A homemaker, Carlie moved to the Bentonville community in 1963. She loved gardening, flowers and bird watching. She enjoyed her family, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include 6 children, Marion (Debbie) Baker Jr. of Rush County, Roland (Jan) Baker of Mooreland, Ty (Lois) Baker of Lewisville, Mark (Amy) Baker of Bentonville, Yvonne (Les) Dunn of Washington and Dawn (Jeremy) Grizzell of Connersville; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Bud (Rhonda) Freeman of Irvine, KY; 3 sisters, Darlene Estes and Patty Freeman both of Irvine, KY and Corena (Clarence) Steinmetz of Harrison, OH; nieces and nephews. Carlie was preceded in death by her husband, Marion K. Baker on December 14, 1990. They were married in Sardinia, OH on November 27, 1952. 1 son Oliver Gene and 1 daughter, Rebecca Kay. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. John Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bentonville Cemetery.
