NEW CASTLE- Kenneth W. "BUTCH" Miller, 65, formerly of Lewisville, passed away at his home in New Castle, Indiana on Sunday evening June 2, 2013. Butch was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on October 9, 1947, a son of the late Marcus Miller Jr. and Beulah G. (Hall) Miller-Kaiser, who survives. Butch made his home for many years in the Lewisville community where he was a 20 year member on the Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department and Fire Chief for over 10 years. Butch and his wife Helen had lived in Bradenton, Florida for 6 years where they attended the First Assembly of God Church. They moved back to New Castle in January. Butch had worked as a brickmason and retired as a furnace repairman from New Castle Chrysler in 2001 after 32 years of service. In his leisure, Butch enjoyed watching auto races, making models and boating. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, the former Helen J. Bow. They were married in the New Lisbon Christian Church on August 28, 1965. 2 children, Tonya K. (Jim) Groce of Leechburg, PA and Danny E. Miller of Chicago, IL; 2 grandchildren, Bradley M. (Kendra) Groce of New Castle and Clinton D. (Madison Cunningham) of Vandergrift, PA; 1 great granddaughter, Kenley Paige Groce; 2 sisters, Peggy Ann Lowe of Coopersbottom, KY and Brenda Joyce Ford of Hagerstown; 3 stepbrothers, Larry and Dick Kaiser of Kansas and Bill Kaiser of Straughn. Butch was preceded in death by his father and 10 year old brother, Earl Daniel Miller in 1961 and stepfather Larry Kaiser in 1987. The family will receive friends and family members from 1 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Friday June 7, 2013 at the South Side Church of Christ- 2810 S. State Road 103/ New Castle, IN 47362. Butch's nephew Bobby Pierce will deliver the eulogy. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Ebenezer Cemetery- Lewisville. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery- c/o David Hubbell- 11635 N. 800 E. Lewisville, IN 47352 or the Lewisville Cemetery- P.O. Box 218/ Lewisville, IN 47352. The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
