DUBLIN- Brenda Sue Choate, 66, passed away Monday morning March 7, 2022, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. A daughter of Hershel and Ruth (Mains) Gabbard, Brenda was born in Connersville, Indiana on November 8, 1955. She and her family moved to the Western Wayne community when she was twelve years old, and she has made her home in the area ever since. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was family oriented and proudly put her family's needs first. She loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids. Brenda was blessed with a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed crafting, cooking, and baking.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Charles Lee Choate. They were married in Byrdstown, Tennessee on December 4, 1971; Four children, Chris (Dawn Marie) Choate, Sharon (Billy) Flannery, Mona (Bill) Elston and Leana (Joey McCammon) Choate; Five grandchildren, Chelsea (Tyler) Sidwell, Taylor (Jacob) Bane, Jessica (Ben) Witte, Casey Shell and Roy McCammon; Five great-grandchildren, Meradith, Ripley, Colby, Jay and Emma Sue; Six siblings, Connie (Burl) Robbins, Cheryl (Nan McCloud) Powers, Anita (Jimmy) Thompson, Tina Dunaway, Robert (Melissa) Gabbard and Nina Lowery; many nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Sharon Lee, and William Gabbard.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday March 11, 2022, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, where cremation will follow. Online condolences can be made at www.marshallanderleweinfuneralhome.com
