Obituary

CAMBRIDGE CITY- Bradley Allen Richardson, 44, went to be with the Lord on Thursday March 10, 2011 with his wife Tracie by his side. Brad was born in Muncie, Indiana on July 15, 1966. He attended Tri High School until 10th grade and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1984. He received an Associate Degree from Purdue University in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Brad worked for Ahaus Tool in Richmond from 1984 - 1998 as a toolmaker and electrician. He and his wife Tracie opened their own machine shop in Cambridge City, Richardson Machine, in 1998 and operated it until his health no longer permitted in 2008. Brad and his family have fought a courageous 4 year battle with ALS- Lou Gehrig's disease. He never lost his sense of humor. Brad's memberships and community involvement include the Cambridge City Christian Church where he served as a deacon and trustee, Cambridge City Morning Kiwanis where he had served as Treasurer and the Antique Catipillar Club. Brad was recognized in 2009 for his many contributions to the community by serving as the Grand Marshall of the Canal Days Parade. Brad is survived by his devoted wife, the former Tracie Ann Bryant. They were married at the Cambridge City Christian Church on September 30, 1989. 4 loving children, Chase, Kyle, Leslie and Carlie all at home; parents, George William and JoAnn (Morris) Richardson of Centerville; brother, Eric (Debbie) Richardson of Greens Fork; sister, Dana (Rodney) Fink of Cambridge City; father and mother in-law, Lester and Vona Bryant of Cambridge City; sister in-law, Robin Bryant of Muncie; brother in-law, Dean (Kim) Bryant of Cambridge City; nieces, Jordan Bryant and Alyssa Richardson; nephew, Logan Bryant. Brad also leaves behind many loyal and caring friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday March 14, 2011 at the Cambridge City Christian Church, 106 W. Church Street / Cambridge City, IN 47327. Rev. Danny Berry will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Visitation will also be at the church from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday March 13. In lieu of flowers and to assist with the education of his children, the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to the Brad Richardson Memorial Fund- c/o First Bank, 138 W. Main St. / Cambridge City, IN 47327.
