NEW CASTLE- Betty Ann Riall, 74, passed away Wednesday morning April 15, 2026 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. A daughter of the late Herman and Dorothy (Risch) Werner, Betty was born in New Castle, Indiana on January 10, 1952. She was a graduate of Rushville High School with the class of 1970. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Cambridge City and married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Riall there on March 13, 1971. They made their home in Straughn until she moved to New Castle in 2017. Betty was a faithful Catholic and made sure her and the family attended mass every week. She taught First Grade CCD classes on Sunday mornings for twenty-eight years. Betty was a proud homemaker, her hobbies included anything her kids were involved with and had been Girl Scout Leader for six years. She loved any time spent with her family and enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks and recipes. Betty had worked at Hill’s and Ames Department Store in New Castle for twelve years.

Survivors include 3 children, Arnold and Amy Riall of New Castle and Angela Glankler of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter, Lillian Glankler; 3 siblings, Ralph (Debbie) Werner of Connersville, Gene Werner of Lewisville and Marilyn Riall of Centerville; nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on July 23, 2018; son in-law, John Glankler; infant siblings, David and Jane Werner; sister in-law, Susan Werner; brother in-law, Joe Riall.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Michaelprakasam at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Cambridge City at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 22, 2026. Burial will follow at Lewisville Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. prior to the visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday April 21st at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
