LEWISVILLE- Roxie Beatrice "Bea" Mofield, 92, passed away Sunday afternoon November 22, 2015 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle, Indiana. A daughter of the late Mitchell and Bonnie Ann (Jasper) Wesley, Bea was born in Kingbee, Kentucky on October 27, 1923. Bea had lived most of her life in the Lewisville community and graduated from high school there with the class of 1942. She had worked at Wesley's IGA in Lewisville and was an active member of the Lewisville Presbyterian Church and the Lewisville Home Ec Club. She and her late husband Simon retired to Florida in the late 1970's where she attended the Lake Panasoffkee Methodist Church. She moved back to Lewisville in 2009. Survivors include 2 children, Bonnie (Alfred) South and Roscoe Mofield both of Middletown; 5 grandchildren, Richard Allen Mofield Jr., Kathryn (Joe) Manning, Jacob (Abby)Mofield, Kara (Scott) Lukens and William Patrick (Michele) McCully; 6 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Viola Dishman of Richmond, Bernice Stoops of Muncie, Marie Saunders of Rushville, Iva Haynes of Shirley and Becky Conley of New Castle; several nieces and nephews. Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Simon E. Mofield on December 22, 1992. They were married in Santa Barbara, California on January 9, 1944. 1 son, Richard Mofield on June 3, 2005; 1 brother, Earl Wesley on February 12, 2003; 5 brother in-laws. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday November 27, 2015 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery.
