DUNREITH- Barbara Jean (Stone) Rivers, 80, entered heavenly rest on Monday December 14, 2015. A daughter of the late Carl and Hazel (Zachary) Stone, Barbara was born in New Castle, Indiana on October 4, 1935. Barbara enjoyed working any word or crossword puzzle and had qualified as one of the ten final selection members for the Wheel of Fortune television program. In her leisure she enjoyed quilting and flower gardening. Barbara is survived by her family that she loved dearly, husband of nearly sixty years, Gene Rivers whom she married on December 31, 1955; 3 children, Diana (Carl) Boss, Larry (Cindy) Rivers and Steve (Lesley) Rivers; grandchildren, Travis, Trish, Traci, Troy, Rob, Emily, Chloe, Brevan, Hailey and Kamdyn; great grandchildren, Korbin, Lydia, Katen, Tyler and Baby Linville on the way!; brothers, Carl Stone Jr. and Dean Stone; many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Polston and Connie Meece; brothers, Jack and Ronnie Stone; granddaughter, Katie Rivers. Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 16, 2015 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Barbara's great nephew, Joshua Goff will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery.
