NEW CASTLE- Barbara Jean Neal, 75, of New Castle, passed away peacefully at home on Easter April 9th, 2023. Barbara was born on the first day of August in 1947 to the late Hansford and Ava Lena (Flowers) Neal. She has lived her entire life in New Castle and attended New Castle Schools. Barbara loved spending her time with family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a Dolly Parton super fan, enjoyed all kinds of music and playing with her dog Elvis. She will be remembered as being an extremely loving and kind person by family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her sister Wanda (John) Strickler; one niece, Crystal Canady; and one nephew, Gary Neal.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward (Laura) H., Gerald Dean, and Larry Wayne Neal.

Barbara's family has entrusted Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, with her cremation. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 22nd at her nephew Gary's house.
