Obituary

FALMOUTH - Barbara Faye (Mullikin) Humphrey, 77, of Falmouth went home to be with her Lord suddenly early Saturday morning, February 14, 2015 at her winter home in Arcadia, Florida. One of six children, Barbara was born on April 19, 1937 in Fayette County Indiana to Ray F. and Jesse V. (Foster) Mullikin. Barbara graduated from Fairview High School with the class of 1955 and married her husband of over 59 years, Gerald Humphrey, on October 9, 1955 at Fairview Christian Church. Together they raised their three children and worked side by side on the family farm. For many years Barbara drove a school bus for the Fayette County School Corporation. She is a member of the Glenwood Christian Church in Glenwood, Indiana and First Christian Church in Punta Gorda, Florida. Barbara took pride in caring for her family and is known for her beautiful quilts. In her leisure she enjoyed sewing, golfing, and square dancing. Survivors include her husband, Gerald; children, Vickie (Dan) Valentine of Falmouth, Mary Ann (Gerald) Gentry of Connersville, David (Lisa) Humphrey of Chillicothe, Ohio; grandchildren, Amee (Travis) Willhite, Mendy (Eddie) Richardson, Ben (Cheryl) Evans, Michael (Molly) Humphrey, Daniel (Katie) Humphrey, Layne (Kayleigh) Humphrey; 16 great-grandchildren with two on the way; siblings, Jack (Carol) Mullikin of Naples, Florida, John (Jeleen) Mullikin of Connersville, Joy (Richard) Dunlap of Lilburn, Georgia, Beverly Smith of Richmond. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Michael Mullikin; grandson, Andrew Adkins. Family and friends may gather from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, 1993 Cumberland Street, Dublin, Indiana 47335. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the funeral home. Rev. David Bonne will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Fairview Christian Church or Glenwood Church of Christ.
