RICHMOND- Barbara A. Dixon, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning January 18, 2012 while surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late George and Bernice (Wilhelm) Dixon, Barbara was born in Richmond, Indiana on July 18, 1938. Barbara had lived in Atlanta, Georgia for several years before returning to Richmond in 1992. A loving mother and grandmother, she was the family confidant who was always there. Barbara was a gifted sketch artist who enjoyed drawing with charcoal and pencil. Survivors include 3 children, David Scott Hibbard of Key West, FL, Lisa (Brian) Griffith of Cambridge City and Cathy (Kelly) Rodewald of Hagerstown; 9 grandchildren, Ryan and Nathaniel Hibbard, Allison Morgan, Samuel Griffith, Brittany Revelee, Nick Hibbard, Tyler (Danielle) Kilgus, Danielle Hibbard and Sean Rodewald; several great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Linda (Don) Hittle, Patty Clark and Pam (Jerry) Benjamin all of Richmond and Sharon (Buddy) Harper of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by 1 brother, Jack Dixon; 1 sister, Dottie Dixon; twin granddaughters, Chrystal Ann and Sandra Lynn. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Saturday January 21, 2012 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, 1993 Cumberland St. / Dublin, IN 47335. Rev. John Maples will officiate. Cremation will follow.
