Barbara Ann (Neal) Clements, 82, of Prairie Heights, passed away Sunday afternoon March 5, 2017 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle, Indiana after a brief illness. A daughter of the late Oscor and Helen (Poer) Neal, Barbara was born in New Castle, Indiana on August 31, 1934. She was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School with the class of 1952. Barbara was a seamstress at Draper Shade and retired from there after 39 years of service. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling to play on courses in several states. She even made a hole in one. Barbara enjoyed all sports especially I.U. Basketball and Oakland Raider Football. This was a fun time of year for her because of her excitement during the NCAA "March Madness" Tournament. In her leisure, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Phase 10 cards on Saturday evenings, sewing, cooking. Survivors include her 2 sons, Claris "June" (Vicki Walters) Clements of New Castle and Mark (Tammy Vawter) of Spiceland; 4 grandchildren, Zachary (Morgan Gormon) Clements and Joshua Clements of Spiceland, Alicia (Trent Branham) Clements and Andrea (Wade Hoskins) Snow of New Castle; 6 great grandchildren, Baylor and Lexi Clements and Keagan York of Spiceland, Kaya and Iley Hoskins and Stella Branham of New Castle; brother, Ralph Neal of Sulphur Springs; sister in-law, Carylon Neal of Florida; nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Claris Clements; 2 children, Vicki and Terry Clements; sister, Deloris McGee; brother, Richard Neal. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday March 10th at the South Mound Cemetery- West Lawn Addition in New Castle. Pastor Roby Wood will officiate.
