MILTON- Amy Louise (Geis) Bates, 51, passed away on Friday June 3, 2011 while in hospital at El Paso, Texas. She has made her home in Chaparral, New Mexico for over 20 years. Amy was born in Connersville, Indiana on February 11, 1960. She grew up in the Milton area and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1978. During her high school years and shortly after she worked at the Soda Shop in Cambridge City. She had a special love for all her pets and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City. Survivors include her parents, Paul M. and Kathryn V. (Kenmuir) Geis of Milton; husband, Raymond Bates of Chaparral, New Mexico; 4 sisters, Paula Kathryn Hughes of Bossier City, Louisiana, Alyce Geis of Centerville, Virginia Geis of of Cambridge City and Phyllis (Randy) Reisert of Cambridge City; 1 brother, Gary (Janet) Geis of Muncie; several nieces and nephews. Amy's wishes were to be cremated, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church- 333 W. Maple Street / Cambridge City, IN 47327. Fr.
