CAMBRIDGE CITY- Alma Brown-Wright, 85, passed away on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. Alma was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on March 20, 1929. Alma had lived in Cambridge City for many years before moving to Connersville. A homemaker, Alma was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, feeding her friends and family, dancing and her grandkids running around the house. Survivors include 3 children, Bill (Sandy) Brown, Cindy (Rick) Crutcher and Tim (Sharon) Brown, daughter in-law, Marsha Brown; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Eldren (Emily) Beard, Paul (Rosalind) Walton; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Juanita Jordan. Alma was preceded in death by her father, Hobert Beard; her mother and step father, Eliza "Betty" (Baker) and Frank Walton; 1st husband, James Brown on July 17, 1981; 2nd husband, Winfield "Jr." Wright on April 8, 2001; 3 sons, Curtis "Randy" Brown on March 29, 1979, Dennis J. Brown on Aug. 25, 2003 and David Bradley Brown on December 24, 2004; great granddaughter, Amber Baker; daughter in-law Debbie Brown- Atkins; brother, William Beard. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at 2 p.m. on Saturday February 28, 2015 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Matt Purdue will officiate. Burial will follow at the Westside Cemetery in Milton.
