NEW LISBON- Albert "Pap" Huffman, 90, entered into peaceful rest on Wednesday morning November 20, 2013 at The Waters in New Castle, Indiana. He was born on March 8, 1923 in Jeffersonville, Ohio, a son of the late Lee and Bertha Huffman. Albert had resided in New Lisbon the last 13 years, but also farmed in earlier years in the Straughn area. He retired from MEG Manufacturing of Cambridge City after many years of service. Albert served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged on February 2, 1947. He enjoyed being outdoors raking leaves and doing any yard work, not only for himself but also his neighbors and family. He was an avid fisherman most of his life and dearly enjoyed it. Left to cherish his loving memory include his wife of 67 years, Ruby (Crabtree) Huffman whom he married August 28, 1946; six sons, Donald (Debbie) of Springport, Ronald (Lana) of Morristown, Gerald of New Castle, also Gary and Paul (Carol) all of New Castle, Jeff (Nancy) of Indianapolis; two daughters, Helen Hacker of St. Cloud, Florida and Wanda (Bill) Witham of Lewisville; three sisters, Thelma Ellington of Richmond, Rosie Rybolt of Cambridge City, and Norma Randell of Carmel; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 2 "awaiting great-grandchildren." Albert was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday November 23, 2013. Pastor Gerald Holmes will officiate. Burial will follow at the New Lisbon Cemetery.
