Lenny Weston

NEW CASTLE- Leonard Theodore “Lenny” Weston, 60, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday June 12, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  A son of the late Leonard F. and Alice R. (Decker) Weston, Lenny was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on November 23, 1958.  He lived most of his life in the Cambridge City community and in New Castle for the past 10 years.  Lenny served from 1980-1992 in the Indiana National Guard and worked as a brake press operator at Hibbing International in New Castle.  Lenny enjoyed watching stock car racing and doing any kind of mechanical work for his family and friends.  He was the go-to fix it guy.

     Survivors include his wife of 37 years, the former Maria Haler.  They were married in Cambridge City on February 13, 1982; 2 children, Leonard Joseph Weston of Hagerstown and Brandi Elizabeth Wynkoop of New Castle; 4 grandchildren, Owen, Morgan, Kyleigh and Liam Weston; 7 siblings, Barbara Oakes, Brenda Keller, Kristi Lambert, William, Randy, Daniel and Glen Weston; several nieces and nephews.

     Lenny was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Cordell and Braydon; 3 siblings, Anna Siggers, Roger Weston and infant, Johnnie Lee Weston.

     Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 6 p.m. on Saturday June 15, 2019 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.  Leonard Payne Sr. will officiate.  Cremation will follow.
