Marianna Cronk

LEWISVILLE- Marianna Cronk, 87. Heaven is a perfect place but the music must have gotten better on Wednesday morning January 30, 2013 as Marianna went home to her Lord. A daughter of the late Walter and Mabel (Elliot) Fowler, Marianna was born in Lewisville, Indiana on March 21, 1925. A lifelong member of the community, she graduated from the Lewisville High School with the class of 1943. Marianna was a member of the Lewisville Presbyterian Church and as the church organist and pianist for many years she played at countless wedding celebrations and funerals until her health forced her to retire. She also played piano for the Seasons of Harmony Band, later known as the New Life Trio. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Marianna was a devoted member of the Lewisville community where she was a member of the Eastern Star, the Home Ec Club, the YPG club of her church and she retired from Citizens State Bank, Lewisville Branch after many years of service.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Richard L. “Dick” Cronk. They were married in Lewisville on March 2, 1947. 2 sons, Mark (Beverly) Cronk of New Castle and Tim (JoAnn) Cronk of Greenfield; 6 grandchildren, Tony and Corey Cronk, Amy Bell, Ashley Wright, Travis and Shaylee King; 8 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Nell Ramey of Brazil, IN; brother inlaw, Fred Cronk of Madison.

Funeral services will be at noon on Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the Lewisville Presbyterian Church. Rev. Peter Zinn will officiate assisted by Rev. Arthur Whitaker. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., to conclude with an Eastern Star Service, on Monday February 4 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
