Ronald F. Holbert

Pershing- Ronald F. Holbert, 69, passed away on Friday April 20, 2012 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville. Ronald was born in New Castle, Indiana on June 19, 1942. He grew up in the Western Wayne community and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1960. Ronald attended High Point College in High Point, N. Carolina and then joined the United States Air Force. He had lived many years in the Atlanta, Georgia area where he worked as a Lawn Care Specialist and also constructed woodcraft items for sale in area flea markets. Ronald had moved back to Pershing several years ago to help care for his mother. Survivors include his brother James Holbert of Richmond; several nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Holbert on February 9, 2000; mother, Nina E. (McConnell) Holbert on December 1, 2010; 3 sisters, Patricia Chasteen on February 6, 2008, Nancy J. Schwab on September 17, 2010 and Linda L. Griggs on October 20, 2010 Cremation will take place at the Eastern Indiana Crematory in Lewisville. No public services are planned at this time. The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
