Mabel Irene (Bergen) Rowe Brittenham

Straughn- Mabel Irene (Bergen) Rowe-Brittenham 90, passed away at Heritage House of Connersville, Indiana on Friday evening April 6, 2012. A daughter of the late Chester and Ada (Brodie) Bergen Sr., Mabel was born in Fayette County, Indiana on February 20, 1922. She has lived most of her life in the Straughn community. Mabel retired from Ford in 1984, farmed and worked in serveral area restaurants. Mabel is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Robert M. and Donna K. Rowe of Connersville; 9-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, many, many great great grandchildren; a brother, Chester Bergen Jr. and his wife, Virginia of Rushville. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband’s George Rowe in 1990 and Wilbur Brittenham in 1983; a son, Malcom Rowe in 1984 and ten siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Chris Sitler of the Dublin Friends Church will officiate. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday April 10, 2012. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
